Changi International Airport in Singapore Terminal 4 opened in October of 2017. Combining modern boutique design with a nod to Singapore’s history, it will include butterfly gardens, swimming pool, movie theatres as well as hawker centers. It will also run on a new “fast and seamless travel (FAST) system, relying heavily on facial recognition technology where passengers can check in, drop off their bags, clear immigration and board the plane using this fully automated system. No human contact involved. Rated one of the best airports in the world, this is only getting better.
